Someone needs to do the work…

The Organism NFTs hold value due to their fundamental use from Era 2 onwards. Every Era 2 game action requires staking an NFT for a set period of time.

Certain actions will allow multiple Organism NFTs to be staked at the same time to speed things up and multiple actions can be performed at the same time.

This is why breeding and keeping a large number of Organism NFTs from Era 1 is beneficial. At least one Organism NFT is necessary to participate at all in Era 2, and the more you have, the faster you will progress through the game.

Traits

With the launch of Era 2, Organism NFTs will (retroactively) acquire randomized traits. Some of these traits - including speed, strength, and stamina - have an impact on the efficiency of completing actions. That is, some actions will benefit from more strength, others from more speed, and so on.

Each species will have an inherent, common (minimum) distribution of action-relevant traits as well as random minor increases, making some species more valuable than others for certain actions.

As a simplified hypothetical example, any Lion might have these minimum action-relevant traits:

• 4 Strength

• 5 Speed

• 3 Stamina

• 2 Intelligence

But you might breed a Lion that is a bit better than the baseline, having perhaps 5 Strength instead of 4, giving it an edge in some actions.

Era 1 Organisms will be created without any traits. Shortly before Era 2 launches, all existing Organisms up to that point will acquire random traits based on species-specific distributions together with random modifiers. New Organisms bred after that point will automatically carry traits.

Apart from action-relevant traits, other traits will be purely cosmetic, adding collector value to the NFTs.

Splicing

Another feature that will provide additional utility to Era 1 Organism NFTs is Splicing. Players will be able to transfer both action-relevant traits and cosmetics from one NFT to another.

To be able to do so, players will need to:

• research and construct rare splicing technology in Era 2

• craft splicer items

• optionally upgrade splicer items for better results

• select a source and target NFT

• and then burn the source NFT in the splicing process.

Which traits and cosmetics get selected for splicing is selected randomly in the process, but traits are never decreased as a result.

Splicer items will be tradeable, as well as NFTs themselves, adding another rewarding element to the in-game economy.
